NABL accredited steel reinforcement testing per IS 1786 — tensile strength, elongation, bend/rebend, and chemical composition at our Yelahanka lab.
Steel reinforcement bars (TMT bars) must meet strict physical and chemical requirements before they are used in structural concrete. V2 Civil Diagnostics tests TMT bars for tensile strength, percentage elongation, bend, and rebend properties, along with chemical analysis for carbon, sulphur, and phosphorus content. All testing follows IS 1786 procedures under NABL accredited, ISO/IEC 17025:2017 protocols. Our reports help contractors, QA/QC engineers, and developers in Bengaluru verify that every consignment of steel meets the specified grade.
Our comprehensive testing covers all essential parameters required by Indian Standards and NABL protocols.

V2 Civil Diagnostics is a NABL accredited steel testing lab on Bagalur Main Road, Yelahanka, Bengaluru. We test TMT bars of all grades (Fe 415, Fe 500, Fe 500D, Fe 550D) per IS 1786.
IS 1786 requires tensile strength, yield strength, percentage elongation, and bend test for every lot of TMT bars. Chemical analysis (carbon, sulphur, phosphorus) is also required for grade compliance. Many QA/QC specifications additionally require the rebend test.
As per IS 1786, a minimum of three samples per diameter per heat/lot is required. Each sample should be at least 600mm long. Our team can advise on sampling based on the lot size.
Yes. We use optical emission spectrometry for accurate chemical composition analysis of carbon, sulphur, and phosphorus in steel samples.
Fe 500D has tighter chemical composition limits (lower carbon, sulphur, phosphorus) and a higher elongation requirement, making it more ductile. Our tests verify whether bars meet the specific grade's IS 1786 requirements.
Physical tests (tensile, bend, rebend) are typically completed within 2-3 working days. Chemical analysis results are usually available within 3-5 working days.
NABL accredited results. Fast turnaround. Full regulatory acceptance.
